If requested an accommodation
can be found for the incoming foreign student. An APPLICATION
FORM (in MS Word format) for the accommodation should
be filled in and sent to Patrizia
Pallotti for the School for Interpreters and Translators
(SSLMIT) students or to Maura Pazzi
for International and Diplomatic Sciences
and Political Sciences Students. The volunteers that collaborate
with the Association will begin then to look for the accommodations,
which will correspond, if possible, to the students' wishes.
Every incoming student will be offered an accommodation,
which can only be accepted through a bank deposit, the
same for everyone, of 270 Euro (260 Euro for the booking
+ 10Euro for the international banking transaction).

In case students accept lodgings
via e-mail, the deposit will be immediately passed on
to the owners as a garantee. If students arrive in Forlì
later or leave sooner, if there are unpaid rents/bills
and if they leave rooms/flats in damaged conditions at
the end of the stay, it will be the owners' responsability
to give students back their deposit. Very important:
please remember that,once in Forlì, if you change
your mind about lodgings you "booked" via e-mail
you will automatically lose all your deposit.
A minibus is available
to pick up the students at the Forlì train station
and take them to their new lodgings. Provided that the
student arrives in the period from the 15th September
2003 until the 5th October 2003 and the 16th February
until the 6th March 2004. The students should arrive
in Forlì, if possible, on working days (Monday
until Friday) within working hours. The student on arrival
in Forlì should contact for any help and information
or communicate any changes in the arrival time the co-ordinators
of the welcome service at the mobile phone number 339
3562272. Please try to plan your journey and your arrival
in Forlì during the day or early evening, preferably
from Mondays to Fridays. During the weekend most of the
information centres and desks for bureaucratic procedures
and documentation are closed and during the evenings it
will be quite hard to find a comfortable solution for
the train journey from Bologna to Forlì (please
check the right timetable on the site www.trenitalia.it)
Often, in relatively recent times, the co-ordinators of
the welcome service have been young people from other
countries taking part to the EU Youth Program of European
Voluntary Service, working together with Italian volunteers.
Koiné considers this an important approach for
the welcome service. The relation, that builds up between
two persons sharing similar experiences and conditions
and practically the same difficulties in approaching a
new reality, will help and simplify the comprehension
of problems bound to a long term experience such as the
Erasmus program.
Every incoming student, during
the first weeks after the arrival, will be offered a welcome
service which is aimed at the integration of the student
into the academic and social life of Forlì. The
welcome service co-ordinators will be able to give every
information about the city and the bureaucratic procedures.
During the stay social and cultural events will take place
whose main purpose will be to involve the student in the
social and cultural academic reality. Patrizia Palotti
for what concerns SSLIMIT, and Giorgio Berardi, for what
concerns "Scienze Internazionali" and "Scienze
Internazionali e Diplomatiche, will be available during
the whole academic year to help the students to solve
any kind of problems concerning the courses or the University
of Forlì and introducing them in the Bel Paese
and in its culture.
